What to expect at Crossview

Visiting any church, especially a new one, for the first time can be an interesting experience! Where to go? What to wear? What time to arrive? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many other questions surface. We want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Crossview Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home" with us! Here are a few answers to questions you may have and what you can expect on your first visit.

What time are services?

Our worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. We encourage folks to arrive early in preparation for worship. Services tend to last 1 hour. The service will be followed up with our fellowships. These are age appropriate classes that enhance instruction and application of Bible truth. Each class will be led by gifted teacher that will teach the Bible. We also meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. for a time of Small Group Bible study and prayer.  All are welcome to attend, and nursery care is provided for all services. Find more about our times on the Contact Us page.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Crossview! We would encourage you to come dressed to worship the Lord.

How do I get to Crossview Baptist Church?

We are located at the 5620 Concord Parkway at the Speedway Plaza at the intersection of Concord Parkway and Morehead. Find more on the Contact Us page.

Are there parking places reserved for first time guests?

We have designated parking spaces near the front door. We do encourage you to arrive at least 10 minutes early as services start on time.

Are your buildings and services handicap accessible?

There is handicap access for wheel chairs.

What happens when I get there?

You will be greeted at the front door and given a tour of the facilities. Your children will find a safe and friendly place in which to learn. You then will be invited into the service.

What do I do before the service starts?

When you arrive, you will notice that our auditorium is filled with plenty of comfortable chairs. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting one another during this time. We would be happy to direct you to where your children will spend their time of worship, either in the nursery or Sunday School area.

What are the messages like?

Our Speakers give Bible-based messages which are expositional, timely, applicable, and Christ-centered.

Do you give public invitations at the end of the service?
What are they like?

At the end of his message, our speaker invites anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to accept Him. Counseling is also available for other spiritual needs. To become a member of Crossview, our staff will setup a meeting to discuss membership.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?

Crossview Baptist Church believes tithing is a Biblical principle, and we do encourage it. However, our guests should not feel any obligation to participate. During our service, we ask all guests and members to complete our registration card to help us to better to serve and pray for you.
